Description

ProduKey is a small utility that displays the ProductID and the CD-Key of Microsoft Office (Microsoft Office 2003, Microsoft Office 2007),Windows (Including Windows 8/7/Vista), Exchange Server, and SQL Server installed on your computer.You can view this information for your current running operating system, or for anotheroperating system/computer - by using command-line options. This utility can be useful if you lost the product key of your Windows/Office, and you wantto reinstall it on your computer.

Known Problems

• For some types of license keys under Windows 7/8/2008, the product key is not stored in the Registry, and thus 'Product key was not found' message will be displayed.
• If you bought your computer with installed operating system, you may find the Windows product key appeared in ProduKey utility is different from the product key on your Windows CD. This problem is mostly reported with Dell computers.
• From unknown reason, the product key of Visual Stuido .NET is written in the Registry as Office XP product..
• In old versions of Office (Office 2000 and below), the 'Product Key' value is not available.

System Requirements

ProduKey works on all versions of Windows. Both 32-bit and 64-bit systems are supported. However, some features, like viewing theproduct keys of another operating system instance, are only supported on Windows 2000/XP/2003/2008/Vista/7/8.

You are allowed to freely distribute this utility via floppy disk, CD-ROM, Internet, or in any other way, as long as you don't charge anything for this and you don'tsell it or distribute it as a part of commercial product. Using ProduKey

ProduKey doesn't requite any installation process or additional DLLs. In order to start using it, simply extract the files to any folder you like, and then run the executable file - produkey.exe
If you want, you can also download ProduKey with full install/uninstall support (produkey_setup.exe), and then install it like any other software.
The main window of ProduKey displays the list of Windows, Office, and SQL Server products installed on your system.For each product, the 'Product ID' and 'Product Key' are displayed.If you want the view the product key information in another computer, or in another operating system within the same computer, use the command-line options below.

Command-Line Options

You can also combine the above command-line options with the following save options in order to saveproduct key information to file:

/remotealldomain [Domain Name]	Enumerate all computers in the specified domain, and load the product key information from them.
/iprange [From IP] [To IP]	Load product key information from all computers in the specified IP addresses range.In order to use this option, you must have Administrator privileges in all these computers.
/windir [Windows Directory]	Load product key information from another operating system on the same computer.The [Windows Directory] specifies the base folder of Windows installation, for example:c:windows, c:winnt This feature is only supported on Windows 2000/XP/2003/2008/Vista/7.

Translating ProduKey to other languages

In order to translate ProduKey to other language, follow the instructions below:

1. Run ProduKey with /savelangfile parameter:
   ProduKey.exe /savelangfile
   A file named ProduKey_lng.ini will be created in the folder of ProduKey utility.
2. Open the created language file in Notepad or in any other text editor.
3. Translate all string entries to the desired language.Optionally, you can also add your name and/or a link to your Web site. (TranslatorName and TranslatorURL values) If you add this information, it'll be used in the 'About' window.
4. After you finish the translation, Run ProduKey, and all translated strings will be loaded from the language file.
   If you want to run ProduKey without the translation, simply rename the language file, or move it to another folder.

Translating ProduKey to other languages

ProduKey is also available in other languages. In order to change the language of ProduKey, download the appropriate language zip file, extract the 'produkey_lng.ini', and put it in the same folder that you Installed ProduKey utility.

1. How to connect Foxwell NT530 to the vehicle?

1). Connecting to Vehicle Power

The Foxwell NT530 scanner normally powers on whenever it is connected to the data link connector (DLC).

To connect to vehicle power:

1. Locate the data link connector (DLC). The DLC is generally located under the dash on the driver

side of the vehicle.

1. Attached the Diagnostic cable to the scanner and tighten the captive screws to ensure good

connection.

1. Connect a correct adapter to the data cable according to the vehicle being serviced and plug it into the vehicle DLC.
2. Switch the ignition key to the ON position.
3. The scanner automatically boots up.

IMPORTANT

Never try to provide power for the scan tool from USB connection when the scan tool is

communicating with a vehicle.

Foxwell NT530 scan tool also receives power through the USB port when it is connected to a computer for software updates and printing of data.

To connect to computer:

1. Connect the scanner to a computer with the USB cable provided.

1) Quick Scan

Quick Scan performs an automatic system test to determine which control modules are installed on the vehicle and provides diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) overview. Depending on the number of control modules, it may take 10 minutes or longer to complete the test.

To perform an automatic system scan:

1. Scroll with the arrow keys to highlight Quick Scan from the menu and press ENTER to start.

1. To pause the scan, press the function key corresponding with Pause on the screen.

1. At the end of successful automatic controller scan, a menu with a list of installed controllers

together with their DTC overview displays.

1. If there is diagnostic trouble code(s) detected in a control unit, press the function key corresponding with Report on the screen to view details of code information. Or press the function key Erase to clear them.

1. Press function key F1 to save the trouble code information.
2. Select the system you would like to test, and press the ENTER key. When the scanner has

established connection with the vehicle, the Function Menu displays.

2). Control Modules

Control Modules screen displays all controllers available on the vehicles. The controllers listed on

the menu do not mean that they are installed on the vehicle.

To select a system for testing:

1. Scroll with the arrow keys to highlight Control Modules from the menu and press the ENTER key. A controller menu displays.

1. Select the system you would like to test. When the scanner has established connection with the vehicle, the Function Menu displays.

After a system is selected and the NT530 scanner establishes communication with the vehicle, the Function Menu displays. The menu options may include:

• Read Codes
• Clear Codes
• Live Data
• Active Test
• ECU Information
• Special Functions

NOTE: Not all function options listed above are applicable to all vehicles. Available options may vary by the year, model, and make of the test vehicle.

1. Foxwell NT530 special functions.

Special Functions perform various component adaptations of the control module under test, allowing you to recalibrate or configure certain components after making repairs or replacement. Typical service operation screens are a series of menu driven executive commands. Follow on-screen instructions to complete the operation.

To perform special tests on a vehicle:

1). Scroll with the arrow keys to highlight the special function test you want to perform fromthe menu and press the ENTER key

2). Select an available service from the menu and press the ENTER key to continue.

3). A group selection screen, test selection screen, several step-by-step instruction screens, or bidirectional control screen may appear. Read the screens and follow all instructions. If necessary,

use the function keys to perform commands or answer any questions. If more than 3 function

keys displays, use up and down arrow keys to select a command and press the ENTER key to confirm.

4). When completed, press the BACK key to return to previous screens.

1. Foxwell NT530 OBD2 / EOBD2 operation.

OBDII/EOBD menu lets you access all OBD service modes. According to ISO 9141-2, ISO 14230-4,

and SAE J1850 standards, the OBD application is divided into several sub programs, called ‘Service $xx'. Below is a list of OBD diagnostic services:

• Service $01 – request current powertrain diagnostic data
• Service $02 – request powertrain freeze frame data
• Service $03 – request emission-related diagnostic trouble codes
• Service $04 – clear/reset emission-related diagnostic information
• Service $05 – request oxygen sensor monitoring test results
• Service $06 – request on-board monitoring test results for specific monitored systems
• Service $07 – request emission-related diagnostic trouble codes detected during current or

last completed driving cycle

• Service $08 – request control of on-board system, test or component
• Service $09 – request Vehicle Information

When OBDII/EOBD application is selected from Home screen, the scanner starts to detect the

communication protocol automatically. Once the connection has established, a menu that lists all of

the tests available on the identified vehicle displays. Menu options typically include:

• System Status
• Read Codes
• Freeze Frame Data
• Clear Codes
• Live Data
• I/M Readiness
• O2 Sensor Test
• On-board Monitor Test
• Component Test
• Vehicle Information
• Modules Present
